Finally, a reverb amp that actually focuses on reverb! When we designed the Beachwood Reverb, the goal was to couple all the functionality of an outboard reverb unit with a great sounding tube amp. The ultimate reverb amp.
We started with the classic Fender Princeton Reverb but opted for a completely different, cathode-biased output section. The result is rich, sparkling cleans that give way to powerful, detailed overdrive.
The reverb section of the amp is where things really get fun. Instead of a single knob that controls the mix level of the reverb, the Beachwood Reverb features controls for Mix, Tone, and Dwell. Let’s talk a little more about what each of these mean.
Mix: This is the reverb control you’re used to seeing on Fender amps. It mixes the dry guitar signal with the wet reverb signal.
Tone: Typically, if you want to change the tone of your reverb, you need to use a different reverb tank. The Beachwood Reverb features a Tone knob that allows you to brighten or darken the tone of the reverb itself. It doesn’t change the EQ of your dry signal.
Dwell: How big is the room? The Dwell control allows you to change the size of the reverb by shortening or lengthening the reverb signal. Set the control low for a room-style slapback reverb, or set it high for truly cavernous echo.
The Beachwood Reverb is available in two different configurations: 15 watts via two 6V6 tubes or 30 watts via two 6L6 tubes. Both types come with a single 12” Weber Ceramic speaker (unless you want something else).
